I stopped by Lombardi's for lunch, and it was packed. The incredible aroma drew me in, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the half rack of baby back ribs and Mama Lil's sandwich, along with potato salad and macaroni salad on the side. Everything was delicious, but the standout for us was definitely the baby back ribs and the macaroni salad. I really liked the laid back atmosphere, and the attached market was a nice touch- you can grab drinks, snacks, sides, or even a bottle of wine. Our order came out quickly, and the food was satisfying. Overall, we had a great experience, and I'd definitely come back!
We mentioned to Cara that it was our first time trying Lombardis and asked for recommendations. We ended up getting: a brisket sandwich, tri tip sandwich, bacon and cheddar potato salad, a hot link and a half loaf of garlic bread. There are tables outside and on the grassy area to use, but none inside. They are busy but the lines move quickly because they are well staffed. We loved all the items we purchased. Everyone was polite and the team worked well together. I do want to mention that the roll they use for the sandwich was perfect! The bbq sauce isn't as rich or spicy, but the single hot link we ordered provided some heat. I will find another reason to come back to Petaluma.
Finally tried the famous Lombardi's. My coworkers and I stopped by for a quick lunch at this place. We all ordered BBQ Meat Plate. Staff were all very accommodating and nice. Price was reasonable, flavor was okay for me, love the amount tho. I love the vibe of the restaurant too.
We had half a rack of beef ribs and half a rack of pork. The pork ribs were very generous. I could only handle one of each because I'm not used to heavy meat but always wanted to try the ribs here. I liked the flavor of the pork better than the beef. Beef was a bit too briny and salty for me. They don't put the bbq sauce on the ribs but give it to you on the side which I guess is nice for ppl who don't like bbq sauce. We also tried the garden salad which was a HUGE portion for the price. Salad is nice with ribs to have some veggies with the meats. They had a good selection of salads. The Greek salad and Asian salad also looked good. The Italian vinaigrette was great, balsamic not as great. The lady helping us was very helpful and friendly. Will be back to try other things. Was too hungry and forgot to take pix :()
An amazing BBQ spot in Sonoma County! I brought my family here while they were visiting, and we tried the tri tip sandwich, baby back ribs, and a mix of potato and macaroni salad. Everything was delicious, with bold flavors and perfectly cooked meats. The ambiance is a big plus, you can sit outside at picnic tables or relax on the grass, giving it a laid-back, wine country feel. It even has a touch of Napa vibes with its wine and cheese market atmosphere. Despite being busy on a Sunday, our food came out quickly, and the staff was super friendly. This spot has definitely become one of my go-to places for BBQ, and I'll be back for more!
